Your Education is Our World

Symbiosis International University (SIU) is planning to give the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) a run for its money. Coming soon will be the Symbiosis Institute of Entertainment Technology to train aspiring filmmakers in areas of sound designing, editing and special visual effects, besides acting and direction.

The focus of the institute is to create technologists and good artistes for Bollywood,” said S B Mujumdar, founder director of Symbiosis. The institute will start the courses in around three months. The concept paper is ready and proposal will be finalised soon. “The academic year has already started, but we feel that there is no need to restrict these courses in the framework of a specific academic year,” said Vidya Yerawadekar, principal director of Symbiosis.
