Education Malpractices In India To Be Criminalised


With a goal to modify India’s educational system, Union Minister for Human Resources Development, Kapil Sibal, intends to put an end to the malpractices in education.

As per report, Sibal has agreed to a bill that would fine schools and colleges taking capitation fee, for non-transparency in admission process, and giving out wrong information on infrastructure.

The educational institutions found culpable of as many as 25 similar malpractices identified by the HRD Ministry will be penalised with Rs 50 lakh and sentencing of up to 10 years in case of individuals.
